The Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) announced his candidate for the post of Vice Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly, Secretary of the PAP parliamentary faction Aram Safaryan told NEWS.am.

As reported previously, on September 20, Vice Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly from Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) Arevik Petroyan handed in her resignation.

“The “Prosperous Armenia Party” has officially declared Samvel Balasanyan will be nominated for the post of Vice Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly. We are sure he is a suitable candidate and will fulfill all his commitments provided by the law,” Safaryan said.

Samvel Balasanyan was a member of the Orinats Yerkir (OYK) party, who had once announced he is an OYK member forever. However, when the OYK left the coalition, he resigned from the party and joined Prosperous Armenia.
