By September 20, 2010, 2m people had visited the Armenian pavilion at the Shanghai-2010 international exhibition. The pavilion, which occupied an area of 340 sq meters, was visited by 16 to 23 thousand people daily, Hayk Khahjyan, Director of the Bi Line Company, a member of the Armenian organizing committee, told reporters on September 27. The pavilion was a great success, and people were flowing toward it despite queues.
“A 20-30-meter-long queue formed, and people were ready to wait for 2-3 hours to visit the pavilion,” Khanjyan said.
A number of special events have been held on the margins of the exhibition – Apricot Country, Returning to the Sources, 19 years of Independence and others.
Over 190 countries and 50 international organizations applied for participation in the Shanghai-2010 exhibition.
