The Armenian political forces, including ARF Dashnaktsutyun have launched election campaign, but unlike others, ARFD does not participate in the showdown, the head of ARFD parliamentary group Vahan Hovhannisyan told the reporters on Tuesday.

Commenting on a “traditional” election rigging, Hovhannisyan noted that if we do not hold normal elections conforming to international standards one or two times, Armenia will reach a limit after which it will be impossible to return the country by making reforms.

As to statements of certain parties, especially the Republican Party, they are confident in their victory, the ARFD leader stressed that such assertions are very dangerous. “Political force that is 100% confident in its victory is dangerous,” he noted. First, the party can be confident that it would be elected if it worked hard and brought happiness to its people. Secondly, it can be confident if it relies on rigged elections, he added. “I think that no one in coalition can say that they have worked well. What have the ruling party done to get votes? Nothing, the only way out is rigging,” Hovhannisyan concluded.
