The visit of Iranian education and science ministry’s delegation to Armenia scheduled for September is postponed, spokesman for RA education and science ministry Artur Baghdasaryan told NEWS.am. Their visit was postponed due to participation in the 65th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.  

“The deputy ministers who were to head the delegation left for U.S. with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to participate in the 65th session of the UN General Assembly. Thus, visit to our country was postponed for uncertain period. Presently, Armenia is negotiating with education and science international department on the issue,” he noted. Baghdasaryan stressed that the delegation had to hold monitoring in some Armenian universities, discuss bilateral recognition of diploma, Armenian-Iranian cooperation and other issues.

The Iranian delegation was scheduled to visit Armenia on September 22 and had to spend thre days in the republic.
