The Heritage party will not back the first President, ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan during the forthcoming presidential elections but will nominate its candidate for presidency, Heritage parliamentary group MP Armen Martirosyan told the reporters on Wednesday.

Martirosyan ruled out possibility of backing Levon Ter-Petrosyan, reminding of the bitter experience from Yerevan councilor elections.

The Heritage Party intends to present its nominee, party’s leader Raffi Hovannisian during the presidential elections, he added.

As to parliamentary elections, Martirosyan did not exclude alliance with the Armenian National Congress.
