Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan is creating favorable conditions for the West to carry out a transformation revolution in Armenia, Ashot Manucharyan, a member of the former Karabakh committee, told reporters on September 30. According to him, the aim of the West-orchestrated transformation revolution is to adapt Armenia’s political arena to the West’s, aims to reduce Russia’s influence in the region.

In regards Serzh Sargsyan’s re-election as Armenian President, Manucharyan said that “Serzh Sargsyan has no guarantees even if he has heard about such guarantees somewhere.”

As to the results of the parliamentary elections scheduled for 2012, Manucharyan, referring to the authorities’ forecasts, pointed out that the renewed Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), as well as Country of Law, with its list complied to the West’s taste, will get into Parliament.

Among others are the Armenian National Congress (ANC) and Heritage Party. As to the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), it will be “modestly represented” in Parliament. According to Manucharyan, all the forces will obey to the West’s will.

Responding to NEWS.am’s question as to whether the West views Levon Ter-Petrosyan as Armenia’s future president, Manucharyan said: “The West is applying sophisticated technologies so I cannot say. The West is a delicate structure - it is used to work with many, almost with everyone.”
