Azerbaijan has become a center for “smuggling deadly weapons”, the Indian Asian Age newspaper writes, adding that the arms can be used by Pakistani-based groups of militants for terror attacks in India.

The newspaper says that the recent data by the Central intelligence agencies shows that terrorist groups are transporting weapons from Azerbaijan through Afghan borders and supply to new recruits in Kashmir occupied by Pakistan.

According to the sources of the Asian Age, Lashkar-e-Tayyaba, one of the most active Islamist terrorist organizations in South Asia, created bases in Azerbaijan and Persian Gulf countries.

Information suggests that Pakistani intelligence jointly with Talyban also tries to use Wakhan corridor – a narrow corridor connecting China with Afghanistan – to supply arms for terrorist attacks in India, the newspaper reports.
