Recognition of Nagorno-Karabakh by Armenia is an unreasonable step, Russian political scientist Matvey Ganapolsky told the reporters on Friday.
Asked why Russia fails to recognize the independence of Karabakh, Ganapolsky replied Russia is not a third party to the Karabakh conflict, besides Russia is not a suicide committer.
According to the expert, firstly the Karabakh problem should be solved. “Russia ensures security guarantees to Armenia and no need to demand efforts from a third party,” he noted.
