Crisis in Azerbaijani-Turkish relations that was provoked by the signing of protocols between Yerevan and Ankara last fall, had put the issue of Azerbaijani-Turkish relations on the agenda for the first time, said Cagri Erhan, Director of European Research Centre at the Ankara University.

According to him, the only reason for crisis is the insufficient coordination of steps. The expert considers lifting of visa regime --which Azerbaijan is against--one of the ways to reconcile the countries, .

Speaking of the Armenian-Turkish reconciliation process, the expert stressed that normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations is impossible without resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and Armenia is well aware of it.  He deems that there was not sufficient coordination of actions between Azerbaijan and Turkey regarding this problem as well. The text of protocols was handed to Azerbaijani side through Russia not Turkey, Trend reported.
