On October 7, President of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan received Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group - Robert Bradtke (USA), Igor Popov (Russia), Bernard Fassier (France), as well as the experts accompanying them who had arrived in Karabakh within the framework of the field assessment mission.
The sides discussed issues concerning the mission. Bako Sahakyan noted that all conditions were created to conduct the mission at proper level.
The second phase of the field assessment mission in the NKR territories occupied by Azerbaijan was discussed as well. In this regard, President Sahakyan noted that the Karabakh authorities expect Baku’s constructive approach for successful realization of the mission in the occupied territories of Shaumyan, Getashen, Martakert and Martuni.
Recent developments in the Karabakh peace process were also discussed during the meeting. The President noted that Azerbaijan’s constant anti-Armenian propaganda and destructive steps greatly hinder resolution of the conflict, calling on Co-Chairs to respond adequately.
NKR Foreign Minister Georgy Petrosyan and other officials were present at the meeting.
