The Museum of Science and Technology of Armenia was founded in 2008. However, for lack of territory, it has not operated since, one of the founders Zhirair Sevoyan told NEWS.am. About 300 exhibits – equipment and other devices made in Armenia – have been collected.

“Our aim is to collected and present to the public the discoveries and inventions by Armenian scientists and inventors – from Armenia and Diaspora,” Sevoyan said. He believes the museum will not only help to preserve the scientific and technical equipment produced in Armenia, as well as patents for inventions, but also present it to tourists and future generations. 

“Young people often know about Armenian singers, film producers or actors, but they do not know about scientists. The museum is supposed to enhance Armenian scientists’ reputation and present the Armenian scientific potential,” Sevoyan said. The museum founders also plan to form technical hobby groups at the museum.

Sevoyan called for supporting the museum by providing materials about Armenian scientists. After the museum has been opened, the contributors’ names will be wrin ten on the stands.

The exhibits are now in a territory provided by the Armenian office of the U.S. National Instruments Company.
