Eighty-six members from “Justice and Development” Party turned in their application for withdrawal from the party. According to the head of the party’s provincial office in Balykesir Mahmud Payrazlin, he and his party fellows leave the party as they do not feel needed to this political force any longer, Turkish Internethaber website reports.

As reported previously, a representative from oppositional “National Movement” party assumed the office of Balykesir Mayor during the previous local elections. The result of the referendum proved the influence of the ruling party in this port (Balykesir is situated nor far from Sea of Marmara) is not strong. Majority of the local residents said “no” to the Constitutional Referendum, initiated by Recap Erdogan.
