The Commission accuses the channel of illegal broadcasting on Abkhazian and South Ossetian territory without a corresponding license. According to the Commission, this is the second fine on OPT since October, 2008 (first one was 50.000 lari).
In case of broadcast proceeding the commission threatens to charge 1.000.000 lari.
On August 27, 2009 the Commission surcharged “REN TV”, “NTV”, “TV-centre”, “Russia” and “Kultura” channels for 50.000 lari (U.S. $30.000).
