After the presidential elections in U.S, Armenian-U.S. relations underwent significant progress. September 1, RA President Serzh Sargsyan stated at the annual meeting with MFA Staff and diplomatic corps representatives in Armenian.

President underlined that Armenia communicates directly with the White House and U.S. State Department. Armenian-Turkish rapprochement recently plays a significant role in U.S.-Armenian relations. “Some faultfinders consider the initiative on Armenian-Turkish relations settlement prevented U.S. President from using the word ‘genocide’ in his April statement,” Sargsyan said, adding that he has already mentioned and kept on claiming that their efforts did not conflict with U.S.

“The U.S. sources are sufficient for truly esteeming the situation to occurring. I am confident that sooner or later the evaluation will be provided,” the RA President concluded.
