The European Court of Human Rights has allowed a claim lodged by Cypriot Geeks and obliged Turkey to pay €13 million during the next three months.
The Turkey-based Dunyabulteni news website reports that the European Court made its decision on September 22, 2009, but postponed the announcement until October 26, 2010, in order to specify the compensation amount.
In their claim the Cypriot Greek noted they were unable to return to their homes after Turkish occupation in 1974. They demanded compensations.
