Each trilateral meeting should be welcomed, Karen Bekaryn, Chairman of the European Integration NGO, told NEWS.am. On the other hand, he is not too optimistic.

On the one hand it facilitates the dialogue, but, on the other hand, Azerbaijan’s position remains unchanged – or even becomes increasingly radical - after each meeting, he said.

Bekaryan rules out any possibility of Armenia being pressed into signing a document against its own interests. “The current situation does not allow me to think so. The co-chairs may try to persuade the sides into making certain steps and that’s all,” he said.

As to the probability of military provocations on the part of Azerbaijan, Bekaryan said it remains unchanged.
