Green youth movement “SOS Teghut” activist Mariam Sukhudyan --who was accused of slander for reporting sexual harassment by teachers at the № 11 Nubarashen Boarding School in 2009 —filed a law suit against the Armenia Chief of Police Alik Sarkisyan, Aravot reports.
In the Court of General jurisdiction in Yerevan Kentron and Nork-Marash, presiding Judge Karine Petrosyan will consider her lawsuit against the police Chief on 1 November : “Alik Sarkisian violated the presumption of my innocence,” Sukhudyan says.
In August 2009, at a press conference, the police chief claimed that Mariam Sukhudyan was guilty of slander.
However, all of her reports were confirmed. The teacher-pedophile was convicted and sentenced. Mariam Sukhudyan is seeking compensation for moral damages.
