On October 29, Armenian Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan received Israeli Ambassador to Armenia Shmuel Meirom.

Hovik Abrahamyan congratulated Ambassador on his appointment, expressing hope that his activities will contribute to establishment of efficient Israeli-Armenian cooperation, RA parliamentary press service informed NEWS.am.

Shmuel Meirom noted he would do his utmost to further intensify bilateral ties.

Armenian Parliament Speaker stressed that each crime, genocide should be condemned by entire world to avoid reoccurrence of such events in future. Armenia steps up efforts for international recognition of the Armenian Genocide and is confident that it will manage to restore historical justice.

The sides stressed importance of strengthening bilateral relations in all fields and necessity to establish parliamentary friendship groups.
