The Yerevan Municipality has sanctioned a rally to be held by the Armenian National Congress (AMC) on September 18. According to some information, the Yerevan Municipality has also sanctioned a march to be held after the rally, which has no precedent – the Yerevan Municipality has never sanctioned the Opposition’s marches before.

Arman Musinyan, Spokesman for the Opposition leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan, told NEWS.am that, although informed of the Yerevan Municipality’s decision, they have not yet received an official permit. Musinyan also pointed out that the ANC informed the authorities of the planned rally last Friday and this Monday.
