YEREVAN. - Armenian students studying in France will be able to find a job there more easily.

Head of the State Migration Service of Armenia, Gagik Yeganyan, stated the aforementioned in the Armenian parliament on Thursday, introducing the Armenian-French Agreement on Migration Partnership, which was signed in Paris in October 2016.

According to the aforementioned Agreement, students studying in French universities within the framework of international university contracts will be able to find a job corresponding to their specialty without additional work permit—a long and often negative process, he stated.

Qualified specialists will also be exempted form obtaining such permits, Yeganyan added.

In fact, France is the first country to conclude such an agreement with Armenia. Apart from this, it is already several years the representation of the French Office of Immigration and Integration operates in Armenia, covering other countries as well, including Ukraine. In Yeganyan’s words, all this is indicative of a high-level cooperation.

Moreover, the legal framework stipulates cooperation in the sphere of reintegration, including support to returning illegal migrants. Opportunities are also provided for backing them in starting their small business, he noted.
