Azerbaijan-U.S. relations deteriorated after U.S. initiated the Armenia-Turkey rapprochement, an analyst at the Jamestown Foundation Vladimir Socor stated at the discussions on American-Azerbaijani relations in Washington.
According to him, “the normalization process was pressurized by the Armenian lobby in U.S.,” Aze.az reports.
The activities of the U.S. Congress made Azerbaijan adopt an aggressive stance on Armenia, the expert said.
Socor stressed the Armenian lobby exerted pressure on Obama administration on reconciliation of Armenia-Turkey relations.
