YEREVAN. – Yelk (Way Out) opposition alliance of Armenia considers the country’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) to be a wrong political decision.
Mane Tandilyan, who is fourth on Yelk’s list for the forthcoming parliamentary election in Armenia, stated the aforesaid at Sunday’s fundraising event for their election campaign.
She presented the main provisions of the election platform of this bloc.
“Yelk alliance considers Armenia’s membership in the EAEU organization a political mistake,” said Tandilyan. “Therefore, the alliance believes that negotiations should begin with EU, on the creation of a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area.”
And with respect to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as per the Yelk MP candidate, the alliance proposes to first of all create a balance between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“Only then can we speak about mutual concessions,” stressed Mane Tandilyan. “As long as this balance is upset, Yelk will not speak about any mutual concession.”
