Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan on Wednesday made a working visit to Armavir province.

The PM started his visit from Etchmiadzin, where he visited the construction site of the future sport school, the press-service of the Armenian Government reports.   The construction was launched in 2015 and will end in 2019. 500 million AMD has been allocated from the state funds for the implementation of the program. It is also planned to improve the football pitch near the school.

Afterwards, Karapetyan visited the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (NPP). During a consultation, he was briefed on the key indexes of the NPP’s operation.  It was also noted that the work of the first stage of extending the operation of the NPP has been successfully completed, inspection of nearly 4,500 units of the system and equipments having been conducted.

The PM also visited Tierra de Armenia company owned by Armenian-Argentinean businessman Edurado Eurnekian, and got familiarized with his plans. The company produces 1,2 million bottles of wine annually, the capacity of the company being 3 million bottles. The wine is exported to Russia, US, Lebanon and Jordan. Furthermore, Karapetyan visited “Levon Galchyan” art center in Baghramyan village. Annually 70 children attend the center and get free education there.

Apart from this, the PM visited honored pedagogue Tigranuhi Harutyunyan and congratulated her on the International Women's Day.
