YEREVAN. - Small and medium business in Armenia should be provided tax holidays for 5 years.

Member of Ohanyan-Raffi-Oskanian (ORO) alliance, Armen Martirosyan, told the aforementioned to journalists on Friday.

According to him, the small business needs privileges for preserving jobs in order to stop the further migration, he added.

Referring to the birthrate, Martirosyan noted that the amount of lump-sum payments for the birth of children should be increased.  Thus, AMD 100,000, 500,000 and 1 million should be paid for the first, second and third child, this amount reaching 2 million (approx. $4.1 thousand) after the fourth child.

In his words, a maternity fund in the amount of AMD 3 million should also be formed and be used exclusively for the fourth child.

Apart from this, the monthly child care allowance should be increased from AMD 18,000 to 30,000, payment deadline being extended from 2 to 3 years.
