In his article posted on the Buckinghamshire newspaper (Great Britain) Odet Bazil commented on the reports that Turkish President Abdullah Gul received the Chatham House rewards.

The world-famous college praised President Gul for Turkey’s efforts to normalize its relations with the neighboring countries, improving the human rights protection situation and creating an atmosphere of tolerance toward national minorities.

If the Chatham House assessment commission visited Turkey and held talks with representatives of neighboring countries they would have asked President Gul why Turkey has been blockading the Armenian-Turkish border for 17 years, why the Armenian churches are turned into museums, at best, or into brothels at worst. And why does Turkey go on denying the Armenian Genocide, Bazil said.
