Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that he considers Armenian community of Turkey his country’s wealth.

In an interview with Zhamanak newspaper, the oldest Armenian daily of Turkey, Erdogan said that he keeps on track of Armenian community’s efforts aimed at reaching peace and stability, Hurriyet reported.

Talking to Zhamanak editor Ara Gochunian, Turkish Premier stressed that his country entered in a stage of new relations with all countries after the World War I, expressing hope it would also refer to Armenia. “Historians and scientists should study history, while we must move forward together. I believe it is still possible. Attitude of some representatives of the Armenian Diaspora is different and this leads the process to deadlock,” he stressed.
