At its spring session the NATO Parliamentary Assembly is to discuss a resolution on Nagorno-Karabakh, Ziyafet Askerov, Vice-Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament, told journalists.
“We addressed a letter to the President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, wherein we pointed out the impossibility of an Azerbaijani delegation’s participation in the meeting in connection with the parliamentary elections and asked to postpone the discussion until next meeting. We got a positive answer,” Azeri mass media report.
NEWS.am reminds readers that a draft resolution is to be submitted to discussion of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, which is to meet in Warsaw, Poland, Nov. 12-16.
The draft was prepared by the Canadian reporter Reynell Andreychuk. The voting is scheduled for Nov. 14.
Head of the Armenian delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Karen Avagyan told journalists that Speaker of the RA Parliament Hovik Abramyan made a request for not considering the Baku-submitted resolution.
