Russian President Dmitry Medvedev congratulated Union of Armenians of Russia on its 10th anniversary and stressed Armenian Diaspora is actively involved in the expansion of Russia’s economical and social life, as well as modernization of the Russian society.

“Over the course of history Russian and Armenian people have been on friendly terms, based on mutual respect. Traditional good neighborly relations and close cooperation passed on from generation to generation and contributed to mutual enrichment of our cultures. Russia is the second motherland for hundred thousands of Armenians, including many outstanding people,” the RF President said in a congratulatory message. 

RF President stressed representatives of the Armenian community in Russia greatly contribute to preservation of international and interfaith harmony and cultural diversity of the country.

On November 17, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan will meet Dmitry Medvedev within the framework of his working visit to Moscow.
