Army is one of the major structures providing Armenia’s development, protecting statehood and territorial integrity, Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan said at the November 17 meeting with university conscripts. In the region full of threats each Armenian citizen should think about the army, he added.

The Minister stressed that professionals having high education should join the Armenian armed forces. He called on the conscripts to take the army with a great sense of responsibility, as the army routine differs much from civilians’ life. Seyran Ohanyan also noted that young people play a major role in strengthening of army-society ties and the Defense Ministry will do its best to contribute to the improvement of these relations.
