On November 17, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian held a phone conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart Kostyantyn Gryshchenko.
The sides exchanged views on key bilateral issues, forthcoming OSCE Summit in Astana and its importance for intensification of organization’s activities, including resolution of protracted conflicts.
Minister Nalbandian informed his colleague of the current stage of the Karabakh peace process. Minister Gryshchenko expressed hope that a mutually acceptable solution will bring prosperity and stability to the region.
The Ukrainian FM also expressed his full support to the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs towards peaceful settlement of the conflict based on the norms and principles of international law, in particular, principles of non-use of force or threat of force, territorial integrity, and nations’ right to self-determination.
