Unequivocal position of U.S. and international human rights organizations, which demanded release of Azerbaijani bloggers Emin Milli and Adnan Hajizade made official Baku go back on its tracks.
On November 19, Azerbaijan’s Salyan Regional Court considered Emin Milli’s complaint and issued a decision on his early release. The court decided to suspend his jail sentence.
On November 18, Baku Appeals Court decided to release Adnan Hajizade.
Hajizade and Milli were arrested on July 8, 2009. Milli was sentenced to 2.5 years, whereas Hajizade to 2 years in prison.
