YEREVAN. – The Serbian truck driver, who is charged with causing a road accident that killed two people in December 2016 in Armavir Province of Armenia, accepts the charges.
His legal defender, Karen Stepanyan, told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The investigation into this incident determined that Serbian driver Ljubiša Stanisavljević had lost control of the truck he was driving, and therefore the vehicle had gone onto the opposite lane, where it crashed into the car driven by Simon Khachatryan, 52, a resident of Hovtamech village in Armavir Province. As a result, Khachatryan and his wife had died.
“My client said he didn’t imagine that such a thing could happen,” Stepanyan noted. “The speed of the vehicle was normal. It’s just that it was frozen here and there, and this was the cause of the accident
Criminal charges were brought against Stanisavljević.
