President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on Tuesday visited the branch of Tavush Textile company in border Artsvaberd community of the country’s Tavush province.

The President—along with Minister of Economic Development and Investments Suren Karayan, company representatives, and province authorities—toured the company workshop, getting familiarized with the investments made and work done recently, as well as the production volumes and company development programs.

Within the framework of the visit, Sargsyan also visited Berd town branch of Tavush Textile.

The officials in charge of the company told the Armenian President that the company, which launched its operation in 2015, currently has workshops in Choratan, Artsvaberd and Mosesgegh communities, the work aimed at establishing workshops in Berd and Paravakar communities being underway. The company now has 274 employees with average 120,000 AMD monthly salary.

Apart from this, Serzh Sargsyan had meetings with residents of Artsvaberd community and Berd town, as well as visited St George church of Berd.
