The OSCE Minsk Group will visit Armenia, official Spokeswoman for the Russian MFA, Maria Zakharova, stated on Thursday.
According to her, the visit is in line with the agreement reached earlier, the official website of the Russian MFA reports.
On the sidelines of the visit, the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs will meet with President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian and Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan.
“They intend to ascertain the situation in the conflict zone. It is planned to hold discussions on the pressing issues related to the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement, considering the meetings between the Russian, Azerbaijani and Armenian foreign ministers in late April. It is also planned to pay a visit to Nagorno-Karabakh. Russia will be represented by Ambassador at Large, OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair A. Popov,” Zakharova noted.
In her words, the Troika is to leave for Baku in a week.
