YEREVAN. – The Yerevan Council faction members of the opposition Yerkir Tsirani (Apricot Country) Party will not participate in Monday’s inauguration of reelected Mayor Taron Margaryan.

The Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter informed from Yerevan Municipality that Yerkir Tsirani chairperson Zaruhi Postanjyan arrived at the municipality building, but she refused to accept her faction’s invitations to the swearing-in ceremony noting that they will not attend this event, since they do not consider Margaryan as a legitimate mayor.

Also, she recalled reporters that their faction is holding separate, alternative meetings of the Yerevan Council, and that they will convene another one shortly.
