YEREVAN. - Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan on Monday received General Director of Rosatom Corporation Alexey Likhachov.

The PM underscored the importance of cooperation between Armenia and Russia in the sector of energy, expressing satisfaction with the bilateral cooperation level.

The sides also touched on the process of work aimed at extending the operations of the second energy bloc of the Armenian NPP.

Alexey Likhachov, for his part, noted that the work is carried out in line with the fixed timetable, adding that this is one of the most important cooperation programs implemented between the two countries.  

Thereafter the General Director briefed the PM on the interim results of the work and referred to the future actions.
