YEREVAN. - President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on Tuesday received Foreign Minister of Estonia Sven Mikser.

At the meeting, the interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the fact that the relations between the Armenian and Estonian peoples—which have historical roots and are based on mutual confidence and respect—have progressively developed since the establishments of diplomatic ties 25 years ago.

President Sargsyan stressed that Armenia is willing to activate and deepen the political dialogue both in bilateral and multilateral formats, and develop cooperation in inter-parliamentary and intergovernmental levels, as well as in a number of spheres of mutual interest.

Agreeing that it is necessary to give the collaboration a new quality, since the expectations and potential are quite great there, the President and Estonian FM also referred to the Armenian-EU relations and their development prospects.

FM Sven Mikser expressed hope that during the upcoming Estonian chairmanship in the EU, EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement will be signed. He also briefed the President on the priorities of the Estonian chairmanship in the EU.

Furthermore, the interlocutors exchanged ideas on the issues and challenges, as well as the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.  Estonian FM Sven Mikser stressed that Estonia fully supports the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group exerted towards the peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict.
