Azerbaijan intends to internationally protest recognition of North Cyprus independence by Turkey, reliable source in European diplomatic circles informed NEWS.am.

Kadri Gürsel, the Foreign News Editor of Milliyet daily, wrote that Azerbaijan cannot get Nagorno-Karabakh situation under control neither through war or negotiations, nor economic blockade. “Just as Turkey tells the Greek and the whole world that return to the previous status in Cyprus issue (before 1974) is impossible, same should be said to Azeri fellows, that is return to the Caucasus of 1992 is also impossible,” he underlined.
