Information disclosed by WikiLeaks is provocation aimed at creating confrontation between Azerbaijan and Turkey, said Ali Hasanov, chief of socio-political department of the Presidential Administration, APA reported.

In fact high ranking official accepted that Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev spoke against Turkey concerning the issue of implementation of energy projects, “Azerbaijani President said the country supports diversification in the policy on gas export, there are bitter practices concerning it in the world, therefore, Azerbaijan is pursuing energy policy that will not make it dependant on any country, organization”.  Hasanov also tried to accuse WikiLeaks of editing President’s words.

Two days ago secret cables disclosed by WikiLeaks concerning statements of President Aliyev caused big fuss among the members of Aliyev’s clan. Press service of the Azerbaijani leader issued a statement failing to refute the disclosed facts.
