On December 3, one man was killed, 13 others injured in a car accident in Turkish city of Tokat, Anadolu agency reports.

According to witnesses, the driver of the truck lost control over the car and smashed into a café on Behzat Boulevard. According to preliminary information, the brakes of the vehicle failed to operate.

The owner of the cafe 55-year-old Kamil Polat died at the scene.  The ambulance arrived at the accident site and took the injured to Tokat hospital.

An investigation is underway.
