The People’s Party of Armenia is holding its 7th congress during a dramatic period for the country, when the state has stuck in the mud, Chairman of the New Times party Aram Karapetyan stated at the congress.

Armenia is living a “virtual life.” “Armenia has Tigran Sargsyan, but has no prime minister; it has Edward Nalbandian, but has no foreign minister; it has a security council, but without a head,” Karapetyan said.

Armenia’s gravest problem is that people engaged in propaganda in the Soviet times are now in power in the country. “And these people, in ecstatic rapture, are advocating a declaration on Nagorno-Karabakh approved in Astana,” Karapetyan said. He pointed out that the Armenian National Congress (ANC) will “lose society” unless it completes its struggle.
