In the course of Lithuania’s presidency in OSCE major attention will be drawn to prevention and settlement of the existing conflicts, country’s foreign minister Audronius Azubalis said at the meeting with OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs – Robert Bradtke, Bernard Fassier and Personal Representative of the Chairman-in-Office Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk.
According to him, the role of secretariat, institutes and missions of the OSCE must be strengthened at all stages of conflict resolution. The sides also discussed influence of the Astana meeting on resolution of the protracted conflicts.
Lithuanian FM and Minsk Group Co-Chairs also exchanged ideas on development of methods encouraging confidence between Armenian and Azerbaijani societies and discussed future cooperation between the Minsk Group and Lithuania which will hold chairmanship in 2011.
