The French University of Armenia (FUA) has violated my rights," the former student Anahit Manasyan stated at the Chamber of Lawyers. She lodged a claim against the higher school three years ago. The reason for the three-year-long litigation is that, instead of two state certificates (an Armenian and a French one), the former student received only one “in-house” certificate.

Mansyan stressed she lodged a claim not against a person — Secretary of the RA National Security Council Artur Baghdasaryan, who is Chairman of the Board of Trustees – but against the higher school. She pointed out that she has repeatedly called on the other students to defend their rights. However, being afraid that their certificates would be “recalled”, they refused. Manasyan added that both the RA Ministry of Education and Science and the RA Presidential Administration turned a deaf ear to her protests. Moreover, Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3 (Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University), which opened the French University in Armenia, did not respond either.
