The Philippines suspended trade ties with North Korea in a move to implement the resolution of the UN Security Council, Reuters reported.

“We can say we have suspended trade relations with North Korea,” Foreign Minister Alan Peter Cayetano told reporters.

The Philippines are the fifth largest trade partners of Pyongyang with bilateral trade reaching $28.8 million from January to June.
