Armenian photograph Ruben Mangasaryan’s photos “A deserted cemetery in a village in Martakert region, Armenia, 1993” and “A deserted village in Martakert region, Armenia, 1993” were presented in an exhibition within the framework of Forum of European and Asian media outlets in Kiev.

However, on the second day of the forum, on December 8, a member of the Azerbaijani delegation removed the photos’ inscriptions. According to information security expert Samvel Martirosyan, the reason for it was “Armenia” beside the region’s name. He refuted the information by Azerbaijani Trend agency that RIA Novosti removed the Armenian photograph’s photos containing “false information about Azerbaijan” from an exhibition and apologized to Azerbaijani delegates.

No photos were removed and the organizers said Russian news agency did not apologize to Trend News, the expert said in his blog.

According to Martirosyan, due to Armenian Ambassador to Ukraine Andranik Manuklyan’s effoerts, the photos were exhibited with some changes, particularly “Martakert region, Karabakh.” Azerbaijani Ambassador did not make any objections.
