OSCE mission led by the personal representative of the OSCE Chairman, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk conducted regular monitoring at the contact line between Armenian and Azerbaijani armed forces on December 14. The monitoring was conducted on the segment of Berdavan Kyamarli.

According to Radio Liberty, the monitoring lasted only 15 minutes. The contact was not among the commanders of the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides, but between the representatives of the OSCE.

The OSCE mission held a meeting with the local authorities of  Tavush region, during which the governor of Tavush region Gularyan presented Andrzej Kasprzyk  the situation, noting that the Azeri side violates the cease-fire mainly at harvest time.

During 2010 the Azerbaijan violated the cease-fire nearly 7,000 times, one and a half times more than in 2009. On the Armenian side it is almost always a counter act to the violations of the ceasefire with Azerbaijan. For example, in December alone the Azerbaijani side violated the ceasefire 197 times, while the Armenian side has opened fire in response only 20 times, said the representative of the operational management of the General Staff of Armenian Armed Forces, Andranik Mkrtumyan in an interview with Radio Liberty.
