On December 17, Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan met Mark C. Montgomery, Deputy Director (DJ5), Plans, Policy and Strategy, United States European Command.

U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Marie L Yovanovitch also attended the meeting, RA Defense Ministry informed NEWS.am.

Seyran Ohanyan attached importance to Armenia-U.S. cooperation in reviewing defense strategy, military education, peacekeeping mission, demining and other spheres of defense. According to him, the cooperation with U.S. is one of the priorities of Armenian Defense Ministry’s international military cooperation.

Mr. Mark C. Montgomery highly appreciated Armenia’s participation in international peacekeeping missions and efficient cooperation with U.S. He stressed United States European Command is ready to expand cooperation with Armenia.
