Iranian Defense Minister Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar invited his Armenian counterpart Seyran Ohanyan to visit Iran. Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Seyed Ali Saghaeyan handed an official invitation for the Armenian Defense Minister, reported Colonel Seyran Shakhsuvaryan, Press Secretary of the RA Defense Minister.

The Minister congratulated the Ambassador on the re-election of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and expressed hope the Armenia-Iran relations will be strengthened and will enter a higher-quality stage.

The sides re-affirmed their positions on the regional and bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on regional security and stability.
