2010 was marked by the complete failure of the Armenian-Turkish dialogue, which led to further nationalization of the Armenian society, Turkish studies Artak Shakaryan expressed to NEWS.am, summing up the 2010.
At the same time, the international community’s disappointment in Ankara after realizing that the failure of the Armenian-Turkish process was mainly due to Turkey’s attitude, the expert considered positive for the Armenian side.
The expert also predicted that the nationalism in the Armenian society will increase with approaching elections. At the same time, Shakaryan stressed that further development of Armenia will be directly linked to the progress in the Karabakh issue. “Unfortunately on Karabakh issue, there are no encouraging forecasts for the near future neither from domestic nor international experts”, the expert said.
