The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia had received a call, on February 17 at 8:47am.
It was informed that a person had gone missing from a recreation area nearby the Sevan town peninsula, and rescuers were needed.
Two special water rescue squads were dispatched to the scene.
It was found out that T. H. (born in 1963) had gone missing and was searched for since February 13.
Police found his pack of cigarettes and lighter on the shore of Lake Sevan.
The water rescuers carried out search activities on the lake, and a frogman inspected the bottom of the lake, but nothing was found.
The water rescuers resumed their search at 11am.
A rescue squad was dispatched to the scene.
And at 2:31pm, the water rescuers found a dead body 3km away from the aforesaid peninsula, near a restaurant.
